Public Pootle Servers
- pootle.locamotion.org - our own, official Pootle server. It is used to translate Pootle. More information here.
- translate.creativecommons.org is an installation of Pootle for the translation of ccHost and ccPublisher
- pootle.translate.org.za - Translate.org.za's Pootle server translating OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Thunderbird and other software into the 11 official languages of South Africa.
- translations.civicrm.org is an installation of Pootle for the translation of CiviCRM.
- pootle.sympa.org - for translating the Sympa mailing list software
- librezale.org - for Basque translation projects
- pootle.frugalware.org - for translations of the Frugalware Linux distribution
- pcbsd.org:8080 - translating PC BSD
- OpenOffice.org server for translating OpenOffice.org

Public Pootle servers (retired)
- beobide.net:8080 was a test server for the librezale.org Basque translation group, to test whether they could use it to translate projects such as (xfce4, Mozilla/Firefox, XINE, coreutils, etc)
- translate.os.cs.teiath.gr is an installation of Pootle for the translation of open-source software to the Greek language.
- translate.bittorrent.com was an installation of Pootle for translating the popular swarm-downloader BitTorrent.
Non-Public Pootle Servers
These are servers that aren't available for public use. They are usually run by organisations using Pootle for their internal localisation. The URLs will lead to those companies not their Pootle servers.

Temporary Pootle Servers
These are servers set up temporarily e.g. for a Translateathon
- University of Cape Town: 21-23 Jan 2005, 26 Feb 2005. Translated Firefox into Xhosa with a team organised by the African languages departement.
- AsiaSource: 28 Jan 2005 - 4 Feb 2005. Ran Pootle in a training context teaching a number of Asian localisers about web-based localisation and team management.
- Durban Institute of Technology: 5 Mar 2005. Translating Firefox into Zulu with teams from the Language and Translation and from the Information Technology departments. Completed about 4000 words.
- Dept of Science and Technology: 16 Sep 2006. Translated TuxPaint into Xhosa and Venda on Software Freedom Day.
- FOSSFA localisation workshop, Accra, Ghana: 23-26 April 2007
- Rhodes University: 11-12 May 2007. Translated Horde into Xhosa
- Durban University of Technology: 20 Sep 2007. International Translation Day, Durban. Started translating GCompris into Zulu
- Makerere University: 7-8 August 2008. Translated big parts of Firefox 3 into Luganda with more than 200 students and lecturers.
